Just dropped C's Kindergarten registration paperwork off at his to-be elementary school. I feel sucker punched by time and thrilled beyond belief for him all at the same time.

Soon we’re going to be getting the floors in our home redone. That’s a story for another day. The story for today is the spin off bathroom vanity debacle. Related to the new floors, we decided to replace two bathroom vanities. One in our teeny tiny master bath I thought would be impossible to replace. But I found an extra small vanity I liked from Home Depot. We ordered it, B picked it up, we unpacked it and volia–I now have a beautiful new vanity sitting in our master bedroom doing a great job of holding clean clothes before they’re folded to be put away. The main hall bath has a standard 36” vanity. I have some visual/functionality desires, of course, but nothing that should make it difficult to find a few options that would work. If you were coming over for a weekend visit, here are some current terms you’d need to know to keep up with the chatter in our home: Yakit chips , noun Definition: chocolate chips, as A currently pronounces it. They need to be mini and delivered in maximum quantities. Used in a sentence: “Mo yakit chips, pleze? YAAAAA KITTT CHIPPPPS!!” Party yogurt , noun Definition: Vanilla yogurt, with rainbow sprinkles and chocolate/yakit chips. The sprinkles and chocolate chips must NOT be stirred in, just sprinkled across the top. Bonus points if they are in tiny cups next to the yogurt so they can be added by the eater. Also, the spoon must be COMPLETELY clean, not in the yogurt and not once having been in the yogurt.
