Capitalizing on time with the family
I needed two years of their paychecks to cover my orthodontics, their clean vehicle to toss my cookies all over after 23 years worth of chronic upset stomachs, and their patience on a Christmas list or two laced with unreasonable requests (still waiting on that overhead projector…), but I’m not done needing and wanting from my parents yet! I needed, no- wanted, no- had to have them stuff as many of my left-over belongings as possible into my dad’s fuel efficient but not leg room efficient car to drive 9.5 hours east to crash on my apartment floor. My mom, dad and brother so graciously agreed- before I had even twirled my tornado through the family basement in attempt to pack for PA- to come out and visit me for the 4 th of July weekend.
