Holiday Card 2016

Happy holidays from our resident cook and cleaner! Last year’s holiday card focused on Ben going wild for a then successful Michigan State football team. This year I wanted to reverse the roles. It’s not hard to come up with a wild setting that it would be natural to find me in—but given our ying and yang roles in the kitchen, I thought that would be a good bet. I’m a passionate, furious, adventurous and filthy cook. Ben is a non-complaining whirlwind of a semi-professional cleaner who follows behind me and makes the kitchen usable again. It’s a routine in our house, and I thought it would be fun to capitalize on the look I’ve seen on his face multiple times as he enters the war zone. I figured while the creative theme of the photo this year would be more advanced, the prep work didn’t have to be. Snowy Colorado

(A tad delayed, but better than never!) Shopping in Breckenridge Last weekend Ben and I were in the mountains west of Denver for a few days with my family. We squeezed the last of available vacation days for the year to spend a few days snowboarding, snowshoeing, shopping and max relaxin’. It was so great to be together with everyone, and even greater to have a beautiful back drop and a cozy mountain house (belonging to my dad’s cousin) to stay at.
